Mildred Conner Ryder
Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Conner Ryder, 91, will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018, in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.
Funeral home visitation was held from noon until 9 p.m. Tuesday; and will continue from 8 a.m. Wednesday until time of services. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Andrus Cove Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Lake Arthur.
Mrs. Ryder passed away at 5:23 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018, at her residence in Lake Arthur.
She was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur. She was a very loving and kind person. She was always working alongside her husband. She loved her family and friends and devoted her life to her husband and children.
Survivors include four daughters, Baina Ryder of Youngsville, Marilyn Hymel of Baton Rouge, Diana Ryder of Lake Charles and Jana Fermin of Lake Arthur; one sister, Stella Thompson of Alvin, Texas; one brother, John Conner of California; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ola Trahan Conner; her husband, Luther Ryder; one son, Glenn Ryder; two sisters, Lois Stroh and Clara Primeaux; and seven brothers, Robert, Willard, Desiree, Charlie, Linus and Clarence Conner and Burnis Conner.
