Barbara Ann Clement
A Mass of Christian Burial service for Miss Barbara Ann Clement, 69, of Jennings will be held today, Friday, May 20, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Rev. Keith Pellerin officiating.
Visitation for Miss Clement began Thursday, May 19, 2022, at 2 p.m. and closed at 8 p.m. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. today, Friday, and continue until time to leave for church service at 10 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Lawrence Community Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Miss Clement was born Dec. 23, 1952, in Jennings to Harry and Thelma Lopez Clement.
She was a Hathaway High School graduate and attended McNeese. She worked as an inspector for the Department of Transportation. She enjoyed cross stitching and making rosaries and she loved to shop.
She embraced her nieces and nephews as though they were her own and enjoyed sharing their lives. She loved supporting Hathaway athletics, where she was known as Ms. Barbie. Her faith renewal family was very important to her. She enjoyed shopping and playing Pokeno.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two sisters, Jennifer (Darrell) Lopez of Hathaway and Janet (Preston) Doucet of Jennings; one brother, Jude (Debbie) Clement of Hathaway and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald and Larry Clement; cousin Jeanne Lopez; her godchild, Billy Lopez and a nephew, Devin Kade Clement.
