JENNINGS — A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Tuesday, August 8 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings for Bessie Marie Theriot LeJeune, 91, who passed away August 4, 2023 at her home in Jennings.

Fr. Clyde Thomas will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Monday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 8-11:30 a.m. at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. on Monday. Interment will be in St. Anthony Cemetery in Lake Arthur.

She is survived by three sons, Curtis LeJeune and his wife Jen of Conroe, Texas, Michael LeJeune of Jennings and Terry Joseph LeJeune of Jennings; one daughter, Kathy Marie LeJeune Salgado and her husband Alfredo of Dequincy; six grandchildren, Gary LeJeune, Cory LeJeune, Christy Broussard, Christopher Jabusch, Tiffani Abshire and Derek Abshire and ten great-grandchildren.

Mrs. LeJeune is preceded in death by her husband Andrus LeJeune; one daughter, Donna Marie LeJeune Abshire; her parents, Noah and Agnes Theriot; one brother, Roland Theriot and one sister, Winnie Theriot Thomasee.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Matthews and Son Funeral Home of Jennings.
