Bonnie (Baham) McCauley

Bonnie (Baham) McCauley passed away peacefully Feb. 5, 2023, at East Ridge Nursing Home in Abbeville. She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Horace “Mac” McCauley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, beginning at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings. A funeral service will be held from 6-7 p.m.

Interment will take place privately for immediate family.

Born in Orange, Texas, to Chester and Huey Baham, Bonnie was raised mainly in Oakdale, where she graduated from high school in 1960. After marrying Horace, Bonnie and her family lived for nearly two decades in Jennings and mostly recently in Milam, Texas.

Bonnie was an avid quilter and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She cooked an excellent gumbo among other dishes and enjoyed family get-togethers.

Bonnie also leaves behind her daughter, April, and husband Rodney Caswell; daughter Jessica and husband Kevin McGowan; son Sean David and wife Jane Kang; grandchildren Mark McGowan, Katie Caswell and Bonnie Kang McCauley; sister Janelle McDaniel and husband Joe and many nieces, nephews and loved ones.
