Charlene “Tiny” Thomas
JENNINGS — The family of Charlene “Tiny” Thomas, 76, of T-Mamou, announces her passing on Aug. 27, 2023. The family has respected her wishes of cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Memorial visitation will be held on Aug. 30 in the St. Jules Catholic Church in Tee Mamou beginning at 8:30 a.m. and will continue until the time of the rosary at 9:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. immediately following the rosary with Father Paul Lafleur.
Inurnment is to follow the service in Gotte Cemetery, under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home, where she will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband.
Tiny was born on Nov. 21, 1946, in Iota to Tommy Hewett and Ethel Doucet. Charlene was a homemaker most of her life, enjoying her time with her family. You can often find her taking care of her flowers, in which she took pride in. Also in her spare time, she loved doing all sorts of crossword puzzles and dancing to her French music. Charlene was a member of the St. Jules Catholic Church of Tee Mamou. She cherished her family, and she was very proud of her grandchildren.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Lisa Thibodeaux of Egan and Monica (Terry) Thibodeaux Russell of Carencro; sisters, Elaine (Edsel) Diagrapont of Simmesport and Tracey (Mark) Reed of Lucedale, Miss.; and brother, Tommy (Rita) Hewett of Iota; grandchildren, Amber Quibodeaux, J.D. Morvant, Caleb Fontenot and Angeline Russell and four great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Haley “Jack” Thomas.
