Christopher ‘Conrad’ Courville
A Memorial service for Christopher “Conrad” Courville, 38, of Mermentau will be held at 3 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist in Mermentau, with Father Randal Moreau officiating.
The family requests visiting hours be observed at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2019, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., with a rosary recited at 11 a.m. Musical selections will be provided by Lacey and Heather Landry.
A Christian burial will be held in Mermentau Memorial Cemetery. Conrad will be buried next to his grandfather, Carol Landry.
Mr. Courville passed away Saturday, Nov 30, 2019, at 3:41 p.m. in. his residence in Mermentau.
Christopher was the son of Barbara Courville Istre and the late Rocky Landry. He was born Oct. 28, 1981, in Lake Charles.
Conrad was known for his compassion for others. No matter what obstacles life put in front of him, he reached out with assistance to anyone in need. He attended Crowley High School. He worked for Mr. Gene Savant for 17 years at Nelson’s Affordable Lube in Lake Charles.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Courville Istre; his two brothers, Joshua and Noah Istre; one sister, Megan Pettigrew; his maternal grandmother, Ida Courville; his paternal grandmother, Audrey Landry; his stepmother, Peggy Landry; two uncles, Rickey and Anthony Landry; niece, Abbie Pettigrew; and nephew, Ashby Pettigrew.
He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Rocky Landry, and his paternal grandfather, Carol Landry.
Carrying Conrad to his final resting place will be Joshua Landry, Ryan Landry, Ashby Pettigrew, A.J. Landry, Blaine Blanchard and Timothy LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jordan Broussard and Landon Broussard.
