Claire Marie Duplichien
It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Claire Marie Duplichien announces her passing from this life on Dec. 31, 2018, at the age of 66.
Funeral Services for Claire Marie Duplichien, 66, of Biloxi, Miss., will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Jennings on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on beginning on Thursday, Jan. 3, from 3:30-8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Friday, Jan. 4, from 8 a.m. until the time of her service at 11 a.m.
Claire will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery following her service.
Claire was born in New Iberia to Clarence Romero and Gertrude Resweber Romero on July 26, 1952. She worked as a registered nurse. She loved watching NCIS, drinking Coke and she loved her dog, Hercules. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Claire is survived by her husband, Daniel Duplichien of Biloxi, Miss.; her two sons, Dominic Duplichien (Nicole) of McHenry, Miss., and Clark Duplichien (Michelle) of Birmingham, Ala.; her two grandchildren, Zoey and Zelda Duplichien; her brother, Clark Romero of New Iberia; her three sisters, Patricia Kidd of New Iberia, Cecile Haley of Prairieville and Myra Champagne of Galliano.
Claire was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Gertrude Romero; her daughter, Michelle Nicole Duplichien; and her brother, Kurt Romero.
