Dane Charles Duhon, Sr.
Funeral services for Dane Charles Duhon, Sr., 51, of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2019, at 2 p.m., with Brother Pat Bertrand officiating.
A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home beginning on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019, from 2:30-9 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume today, Tuesday, Feb. 5, from 10 a.m. until the time of his service.
Dane was born in Jennings on April 19, 1967, to Darrell Gene Duhon and Sheran Miller Duhon. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Feb. 2, 2019.
Dane was a very generous and kind-hearted person who never met a stranger. He had many, many friends that he cherished. Dane loved listening to Cajun French music. He had a tremendous love for animals and enjoyed working with livestock. Most of all, he loved his mother and son the most; they were his world. Dane also enjoyed watching his son perform and sing music and going fishing with him, as well. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dane is survived by his mother, Sheran M. Duhon of Evangeline; his ex-wife/friend, April Duhon Talbott Corbello of Lake Charles; and his son, Dane Charles (Jaci Bunch) Duhon, Jr. of Lake Charles.
Dane was preceded in death by his father, Darrell Gene Duhon; maternal grandparents, Florence Miller and Amanda Mouton Miller; and paternal grandparents, Clifford Duhon and Willa Mae Comeaux Duhon.
Carrying Dane to his final resting place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Evangeline will be Dane Charles Duhon, Jr., Shannon McFarlain, Delwin Talbott, Sr., Richard Digiorgio, Wayne Cooper and Delwin Talbott, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Fruge and Dalton Talbott.
