Darren James Gary
Funeral services for Mr. Darren James Gary, 54, will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019, in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, with Rev. Charles McMillin officiating.
Visitation was held at Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings from 3-9 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 8 a.m. today, Wednesday, until time of services.
A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Bertrand Cemetery.
Mr. Gary died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, 2019, in his residence.
He was a lifelong resident of Jennings and a high school graduate. He was a production operator in the oil industry. He enjoyed riding horses, shooting pool, camping and dancing. He loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Gwen Lopez Gary of Jennings; one daughter, Dyllan (Zack) Royle of Welsh; two sons, Damien (Christina Simon) Chaisson of Youngsville and Dustin Thibodeaux of Roanoke; three sisters, Roxanna Gary of Mermentau, Sharon (Gary) LeBlanc of Welsh and Donna (Earl) Thibodeaux of Evangeline; two brothers, Brian (Brenda) Gary of Moss Bluff and Mark (Tiffany) Gary of Denham Springs; sisters-in-law, Brenda Gary and Darla (Mike) Beardmore; and four grandchildren, Stormi Thibodeaux, Lilie Trahan, Wyatt Royle and Baby Royle on the way.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Dorothy Jane Sonnier Gary; and brother, Dwain Gary.
