David Lee Daigle

Funeral services for David Lee Daigle, 70, of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, Jan. 25, 2019, at 2:30 p.m., with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 25, from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 2:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in St. Jules Cemetery.

David was born in Evangeline on Jan. 26, 1948, to Leonard Daigle and Marelia LeJeune Daigle. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Jan. 22, 2019. David loved the outdoors, planting and working in his garden. Most of all, David loved spending time with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

David is survived by his special friend, Patsy; and his four sisters, Ernestine LaFleur of Eunice, Helen LaFleur (Huey) of Evangeline, Elgia Conner (George) of Jennings and Carrie Simon (Ulysse) of Crowley.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Marelia Daigle; his wife, Ruthy Elliot Daigle; four brothers, Wilson, Floyd, Leroy and Elray Daigle; and his five sisters, Ella Mae Deshotel, Ruth Miller, Cecile Miller, Ann LeBleu and Marjorie LeJeune.
