Donald Ray Monceaux, Sr.

Donald Ray Monceaux, Sr., passed away Nov. 10, 2021, at the age of 73.

Funeral services for Donald Ray Monceaux, 73, will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home Sunday, Nov. 14, 2021, from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 2 p.m.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Donald was born Sept. 11, 1948, to Weston John Monceaux and Viola LeJeune Monceaux in Jennings. In his younger years, Donald loved drag racing and riding motorcycles with his brothers. He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing.

His greatest joy came from spending time with his family. Donald was a kind and loving person who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those left behind to cherish Donald’s memories are his son, Donald Ray Monceaux, Jr. (Meredith); his grandchildren, Tyler Monceaux (Madison) and Collin Monceaux; his great-grandchildren, Harlan, Koven and Audyn; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Viola LeJeune Monceaux and Weston John Monceaux; his siblings, Jeanette Crochet, Dolores Kratzer, Barbara Jean LeJeune, Patsy Moore, Raymond Monceaux and Darrel Monceaux; and his grandson, Hunner Monceaux.
