Born in Jennings on Aug. 26, 1946, to Doyle and Leila Reeves, she received an undergraduate degree from Northwestern State University and an M.S. from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
Donna chose to dedicate her life to being a devoted wife and mother. She loved fishing and the outdoors and could always be found tending to her yard, enjoying each flower’s bloom. She also loved people and was never too busy to enjoy a conversation, especially conversations about food. Her favorite dish was pot-roasted ducks that her son would provide.
Those left to mourn her loss are her children, Mark (Rachelle) Phenice of Welsh and Mia (Jason) Touchet of Lake Charles; five grandchildren, Hannah (Dylan) Breaux, Graceanne (Beau) Montou, Lindsay Orgeron, Zachary Phenice and John Aaron Orgeron; and two great-grandchildren, Ben and Carmen Breaux.
She is also survived by her brother, Doyle (Wanda) Reeves of Conroe, Texas, and the father of her children, Wayne (Bobbie Jo) Phenice of Welsh.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
