Dorothy Marie Trahan Gaspard

LAKE ARTHUR — Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Marie Trahan Gaspard, 90, of Lake Arthur will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 28, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Father Roland Vaughan officiating.

Visitation will begin Sunday, March 27, 2022, in Miguez Funeral Home chapel in Lake Arthur FROM 3-9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Monday morning from 8 a.m. until its time to leave for church.

Mrs. Dorothy was born Jan. 18, 1932, in Jennings to Felix and Doralis Royer Trahan. She was a lifelong resident of Lake Arthur.

She was a manager at the school cafeteria. She loved spending the holidays with her family. She enjoyed spoiling and playing with her grandchildren. Family time was most important to her.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Deborah Perry; two sons, Garland (Marilyn) Gaspard and David (Cindy) Gaspard; sister, Mary (James) Trahan; 12 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Horace Gaspard; one son, Louis Gaspard; two sisters, Evelyn LaPoint and Helen Hoosier; and two brothers, Cheris and Robert Dale Trahan.
