Earl Junior Spell
LAKE ARTHUR — Mr. Earl Junior Spell passed away on Aug. 22, 2021, at the age of 79.
A private memorial service will be announced at a later date.
He was a longtime resident of Lake Arthur.
Mr. Spell was born on Jan. 9, 1942 to Walter Lee Spell and Mary J. Spell. Earl was a kind, generous and hardworking family man who never met a stranger and could fix anything anyone needed.
He adored his wife and his kids. He had a great sense of humor and was always joking around with everyone, making people laugh. His greatest joys came from spending time with all of his family, being outdoors and fishing.
Earl was a kind and loving person who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Those left behind to cherish Earl’s memories are his beloved wife of 54 years, Sylvia Spell; his sons Michael Spell of Jennings, Nicholas Spell (Liz) of Port Barre and William Spell (Yolanda) of Nederland, Texas; his daughters, Jeri Spell (Earl Gray) of Crowley, Melissa LaPoint (Burt) of Lake Arthur and Tammy Bachelor (Shawn) of Kinder; 24 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; his brother, Bobby Spell (Ruth) of Basile; and one sister, Shirley Istre of Jennings.
Earl was preceded in death by his father, Walter Spell; his mother, Mary Spell; and his brother, Raymond Spell.
