July 24, 1932 ~ Home in Eunice.

At the request of the family, visitation was held at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice Sunday, Aug. 28, from 10 a.m. until time of services.

Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, with Deacon Chuck Ortego officiating.

Ernestine was born on July 24, 1932, to Leonard and Merelia LeJeune Daigle. She was a stay-at-home mom and enjoyed every moment of it.

She loved taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren.

She will be missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her children, Diane Lafleur Cormier and husband Kenneth of Eunice, Julie Lafleur Johnson and husband Glenn of Evangeline, Edward Steven Lafleur and Melisa of Eunice and Elizabeth Lafleur Johnson and husband Robbie of Evangeline and siblings Helen Lafleur and husband Huey of Evangeline, Elgia Conner and husband George of Jennings and Carrie Simon and husband Ulysse of Crowley. She was a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and four great great-grandchildren, as well as extended family and dear friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Edward Lafleur; great-granddaughter Abbie Claire Miller; brothers Wilson, Leroy, Floyd, David and Elray Daigle and sisters Ella Mae Deshotel, Ruth Miller, Cecile Miller, Ann Doucet and Margie LeJeune.

Carrying Ernestine to her final resting place were Greg Miller, Derrick Miller, Nick Cormier, Garrett Fuentes, Matt Cormier, Ryan Cormier, Josh Cormier and Alex Fuentes.

August 26, 2022 EUNICE — With great sadness, the family of Ernestine D. Lafleur announces her passing on Friday, Aug. 26, 2022, in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 90.
