Florence Hebert
A Mass of Christian burial for Florence Hebert, 87, will be held at St. Jules Catholic Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, with Father Paul LaFleur officiating.
Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings today, Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, from 3-9 p.m., with a Rosary at 6 p.m. led by the Ladies Altar Society.
Visitation will resume Thursday from 8 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in St. Jules Cemetery.
Florence was born in Jennings on July 4, 1934, to Euzeb and Doris Crochet Miller. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Aug. 29, 2021, while in the comforts of her home.
Florence worked as a secretary and treasurer for Daves Electric, as well as a school bus driver for Acadia Parish School Board for 23 years.
She dedicated her life to caring for her family and enjoyed spending time with all of them.
Florence was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. She loved to cook and bake, especially for her family.She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, dancing and listening to French music in her sunroom.
Florence was a kind and loving person, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her three sons, Dale Hebert (Brenda) of Butte La Rose, Terry Hebert (Sue) of Bossier City and Carl Hebert (Cindy) of Hathaway; her daughter, Felicia H. Andrepont of Evangeline; her grandchildren, Scott, Clint, Ryan, Charles, Amber, Joshua, Jordan, Megan, Jamie, Joni and Andrew; her 21 greatgrandchildren; and her four great great-grandchildren.
Florence now rests in Heaven with her parents, Euzeb and Doris Miller; her husband, David “Dave” Hebert; her son, Toby Hebert; and her brothers, C.J. Miller, Camile Miller and Floyd Miller.
Those chosen to honor Florence as her pallbearers will be Charles Farrar, Clint Hebert, Ryan Hebert, Jordon Hebert, Joshua Hebert and Tyler Breaux.
