Freddie Norman III
A Mass of Christian Burial for Freddie Norman III, 67, of Jennings will be held at 1 p.m. today, Friday, Oct. 28, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, located at 920 South Broadway St. in Jennings. Pastor Reverend Jude Fernando, TOR, will officiate.
Visiting with family and friends will be held from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Church Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, located at 819 N. State St. in Jennings. A Rosary will be recited in the chapel at noon.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary.
Freddie, a resident of Jennings, passed away at his home on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2022.
He was born Jan. 21, 1955, in Lafayette to Freddie Norman, Jr. and Gloria Capdeville Norman.
Freddie was baptized at an early age at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
After completing high school, Freddie moved to California and began a career as an auto mechanic. He later moved back home to Jennings.
Freddie loved watching western movies, working on cars and could fix any type of vehicle, from cars to 18-wheelers.
Freddie was preceded in death by his father, Freddie Norman Jr; his stepfather, Junious Chevis; his brother, Acy Norman; his sister, Phyllis Gray and his great-granddaughter, Leilani Brown.
Freddie is survived by his wife, Davilion Redo Norman; his children, Yashica Redo Charles, Yasmeen Norman Malbrough (Joe), Shanon Renee Norman (Earl), Freddie Norman IV, Quentin Vickers and Andrew LeBlanc; his mother, Gloria Chevis; 10 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
