Frederick Paul Miller
A Mass of Christian burial for Frederick Paul Miller, 62, of Basile was held at St. Jules Catholic Church in Tee Mamou Monday, Sept. 21, 2020, at 1 p.m.
A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020, from 3-8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. The family requested that visitation resume Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral mass. Frederick was laid to rest in St. Jules/ Tee Mamou Cemetery.
Frederick Paul Miller was born in Jennings on Aug. 2, 1958, to Carby J. Miller and Betty Venable Miller. He was called to his Heavenly Father on Sept. 18, 2020. Frederick worked as a truck driver for CHI. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. He also enjoyed doing carpentry work. Most of all, Frederick loved to spend time with his family and friends, picking and joking with everyone. Frederick was a kind and loving person who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Frederick is survived by his beloved wife, Bertha Miller of Basile; his two sons, Brent (Chasa) Miller of Evangeline and Keith (Leila) Miller of Baton Rouge; his two brothers, Charles (Cyndi) Miller of Evangeline and Steve (Penny) Miller of Tee Mamou; his two sisters, Doris (Tony) LeJeune of Tee Mamou and Laura Sonnier of Tee Mamou; as well as his four grandchildren, Dethan, Kaizlee, Charlotte and Caroline.
Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Carby and Betty Miller; and his brother, Frank Joseph Miller.
