Genie Allen Navarre

Genie Allen Navarre, a native of Kinder and a proud resident of Welsh, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, June 10, 2022, at the age of 77.

A time of visitation will be held for Genie from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. today, Tuesday, June 14, 2022, with funeral services beginning at 1 p.m. at J.E. Hixson and Sons Funeral Home in Welsh.

Following services, Genie will be laid to rest in Kinder McRill Memorial Cemetery.

Genie was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who adored spending time with her family. She enjoyed gardening, painting, sewing and cooking when not spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Those left to cherish Genie’s beautiful memory are her children, T.W. (Bill) Navarre and his wife, Tessie (Hanks) Navarre, Alisa Navarre Sonnier and her husband, Chris Sonnier, David Navarre and his fiancé, Cami LeBlanc and Clay Navarre and his wife, Rachel (Liscombe) Navarre; a sister, Judy Allen Hodges; 14 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, E.H “Doc”

She was preceded in death by her parents, E.H “Doc” Allen and Jane Polly Cappel Allen and a brother, Ward Hilton Allen.

Those honored to be pallbearers will be Genie’s grandsons, Caleb Navarre, Keaton Mabini, Cameron Mabini, Alex Navarre, Gavin Navarre, Gabe Navarre, Cole Navarre, Cale Navarre and Gavin Pousson.
