He was born to his late parents, Jasper and Una Louviere on July 6, 1943, at his home in Welsh. He was a man of deep passions, some of which included music, nature, animals and sometimes people. He never met a stranger, always greeted you with a genuine smile and you couldn’t help but smile back. He was well-known for his hugs and being the first in line at the barber shop on Monday!
He is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn Watkins Louviere. Their marriage of over 57 years was an inspiration to many.
He leaves behind his eight children and too many grandchildren (29) and great-grandchildren (20+) to name.
His children are William “Willie” Louviere of Sapulpa, Okla., Cheryl Louviere (Joseph Squier) of Thornwell, Jean Walton (Tony) of Dickinson, Texas, Ramona Schexnider (Jonathan) of Lake Arthur, Ellen Meche (Forrest) of Welsh, Mary Ann Small (Charles) of Friendswood, Texas, Sarah Louviere of Welsh and Jim Louviere (Ashlyn) of Welsh. In addition, he is survived by his sister, Margaret Ellison of Welsh.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Geneva Meyer; his infant sister, Mary; his brothers-in-law, Albert Ellison and Ray Meyer; and many dear friends.
