Herbert Howard Hoag, Jr.

Herbert Howard Hoag, Jr., passed away on Oct. 27, 2022, at the age of 85.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life at Parkway Presbyterian Church, located at 6200 Camphor St. in Metairie, at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, 2022.

He was born in Jennings on Dec. 31, 1936, to Howard and Lorraine Hoag.

After earning a BS degree in industrial education, he served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S Vermillion. Upon his return, he started working for Wausau Insurance Company and retired after 35 years.

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Thekla W. Hoag. He was a loving father to Carla Haugh (Harry) and Andrea Koch (Eric); grandfather to Chandler Koch, Carly Koch and Mercedes Kitchen; brother to Elizabeth Bonin of Jennings and uncle to Tyler Cormier of Jennings and Libby Fontenot (Chris) of Hathaway.
