Horace William Lewis
A Mass of Christian Burial for Horace William Lewis, 73, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, located 920 South Broadway St. in Jennings. Pastor Rev. Jude Fernando, TOR, will officiate.
Visiting with family and friends will be held in the Chapel at Semien-Lewis Mortuary, from 9-10:30 a.m., with a Rosary recited at 9:30 a.m.
Burial will be in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Semien-Lewis Mortuary of Jennings.
Horace William Lewis was a lifelong resident of Jennings. He entered into eternal rest on Oct. 1, 2021, at Jennings American Legion Hospital.
Horace was born on Oct. 9, 1947, to the late Lucy Mae Lewis and Horace Brown. He was a devoted member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Jennings.
Horace leaves to cherish his memories one sister, Martha J. Stansberry of Jennings; two nieces, Angela (Kenny) Williams and Godchild Lucy (Henry) Brackens; three nephews, Elijah (Dana) Lewis, Fredrick Lewis and Johnathon (Shelly) Belton; and a host of great-nieces and great-nephews, other relatives and friends.
Horace was preceded in death by his parents, Lucy Mae Lewis and Horace Brown; his brother, Isbay Lewis, Sr.; two nephews, Isbay Lewis, Jr., and Terrance Lewis; and one sister, Joyce Mae Lewis.
