Ida Trahan

JENNINGS — A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Ida Trahan, 92, on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at 1:30 PM at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church with Father Keith Pellerin officiating.

Cremation will follow the Mass.

Visitation will begin on Thursday at 8:30 AM, with a Rosary being recited at 12:30 PM.

Mrs. Trahan was born on Oct. 27, 1930, in Iowa, LA to Ralph and Theresa Augustine Vidrine. She passed away on Monday, April 17, 2023, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Trahan was a faithful member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church and Ladies Altar Society. She loved to cook, garden, bake, fish and travel. She loved praying the Holy Rosary. She was an All-State basketball player for Fenton High School.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three sons and daughters-in-law, David (Dianna) Trahan, Keith (Erica) Trahan, all of Lake Charles and Phillip Trahan of Deville, LA; 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Trahan is preceded in death by her husband JB Trahan, Jr., two sisters, Annie Benoit and Lena Derouen and two brothers, Wilber and Joe Vidrine.
