Jennifer Lynn Cormier
It’s with the heaviest of hearts that we announce to you that our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and friend, Jennifer Lynn Cormier, was called to her Heavenly Father unexpectedly on Nov. 17, 2022, at the age of 52.
Funeral services to honor Jennifer’s life will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 21, 2022.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, Nov. 20, from 3-8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 6 p.m. The family requests that visitation resume Monday, Nov. 20, from 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass at 11 a.m.
Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Jennifer was born on Sept. 7, 1970, to Nelson LaSage and Eva Martin LaSage. Jennifer was a homemaker who dedicated her life to the care of her family which she adored.
She loved going shopping, taking cruises and scrapbooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Jennifer was a kind and gentle soul who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all.
Jennifer is survived by her husband, Andrew Troy Cormier of Jennings; her son, Justin Cormier (Britney) of Jennings; her daughter, Kaitlyn Cormier Deville (Ethan) of Iota; her four granddaughters, Reagan and Emma Cormier and Kenzley and Avery Deville; her father and mother-inlaw, Andrew and Carolyn Cormier of Jennings; her brothers, Ronnie LaSage (Cathy) of Sulphur and Darrell LaSage of Evangeline and her sisters, Joann LaSage Leger (Terry) of Evangeline and Janelle LaSage Benoit (Mark) of Evangeline.
Jennifer was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Eva LaSage and her brothers, Hilton and Michael LaSage.
