Jester was born in Evangeline on Jan. 30, 1929, to Dorsalie Daigle and Dora Humphrys Daigle.

Jester served in the National Guard. He retired from Pepsi Bottling Co. after numerous years of service. Jester was hardworking and was a great friend and neighbor. He loved good company and visiting with his neighbors. He was a very thoughtful person and enjoyed making sure his neighbors were okay and would often mow their lawns or help out with anything they needed.

After he retired, he could be found piddling around his shop, fixing something, helping a friend in need, sharing a good cup of coffee and conversation or watching wrestling. Jester was a kind and generous man who was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Jester is survived by his children, Darrell Daigle (Camala), Charlotte Daigle Martinez (Willy) and Tricia Broussard; his grandchildren, Dustin, Damian and Coby Daigle, Hannah Martinez and Leslie Broussard; his four great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and his stepson, Larry Broussard.

Jester was preceded in death by his parents, Dorsalie and Dora H Daigle; his beloved wife, Lula Broussard Daigle; his brothers, Wilfred and Morris Daigle; and his sisters, Lou Ella Daigle and Doris Fontenot.
