Funeral services for Mrs. Kathy Linscombe, 67, of Welsh will be held Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019, at Our Lady of Seven Dolors Catholic Church at 2 p.m., with Rev. Alan Trouille officiating.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2019, from 4:30-8 p.m., with a 6 p.m. rosary. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. Thursday until time to leave for the church.
Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Katherine (Kathy) Linscombe passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, at 12:48 p.m. at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. She was a lifelong resident of Welsh.
Mrs. Linscombe was a retired dietary manager; she loved working with the elderly and taking care of their needs. Her joy in life was always taking care of others, spending time with her family and working in her yard.
Kathy was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. She is survived by daughters Kristi Linscombe (Jay) of Friendswood, Texas,Rachel Navarre (Clay) and Jackie Linscombe (Justin); sons Brad Linscombe (Lisa) and Dean Linscombe, all of Welsh; 15 grandchildren, Jarah (Chet Calloway), Ashley and Wyatt Linscombe, Hailey and Gavin Pousson, Karlie Petry (Garrett), Cole and Cale Navarre, Gabrielle and Kamiel Cassidy, Jadin, Jodi, Jasper, Jemma and Jordyn Grimes; and a great-grandchild on the way; sisters Sharon Durr (Daniel) of Abbeville and Patricia Manuel (Leonard) of Big Lake; brothers Glen Benoit (Debbie) and David Benoit (Lori), both of Welsh; sisters-in-law Gayle Carrens of Lacassine and Patty Linscombe of The Colony, Texas; brothers-in-law Danny Linscombe of Jones Creek, Texas, and Lee Linscombe (Shirley) of Universal City, Texas; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Steve Linscombe; parents J.H. and Margaret Benoit; brother, Jody Benoit; and her in-laws, Jack and Leola Linscombe.
Carrying Mrs. Linscombe to her resting place will be pallbearers Gavin Pousson, Wyatt Linscombe, Chad and Will Chiasson, Michael and Josh Benoit, Brandon Begnaud and Danny Linscombe, Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Benoit, Adam Durr, Kyle Chiasson and Jadin and Jasper Grimes.
