JENNINGS — The family of Katherine Miller announces her passing from this life on Sept. 12, 2023 at the age of 69. Katherine was born in Jennings to Wilson Miller and Eunice Landry Miller on Sept. 5, 1954. She worked as a cook for Sonic for 30 plus years and was a devoted homemaker that unselfishly cared for her family all her life. Katherine was a faithful member and devoted parishioner of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings. Her greatest joys came from spending time with her family and friends making memories with them, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Katherine will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Katherine is survived by her children, Rachel Sonnier and Michelle Trahan; her brothers, Curtis Miller, Harry Miller and Kenneth Miller; her sister, Sharon Bergeaux; her nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Katherine is now rejoicing with the family that preceded her in death, her parents, Wilson and Eunice Miller; her brother, Greg Miller; her sister, Brenda Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings on Monday, Sept. 18 at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

A Gathering of Family and Friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Sunday, Sept. 17 from 4-8 p.m. with a Rosary being recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Monday, Sep. 18 at 8 a.m. until the time of her service at 2:30 p.m.
