Lovick June Royer

Funeral services for Lovick June Royer, 87, of Jennings was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 2 p.m., with Ashley Fontenot officiating.

A gathering of family and friends was held at the funeral home Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 2 p.m.

Burial followed in Mermentau Cemetery.

Lovick was born in Morse on Jan. 10, 1933, to Joseph Royer and Sedonia Blanchard. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Nov. 25, 2020. Lovick served our country honorably in the US Navy. He loved the outdoors, especially when he was watching the squirrels or his dogs playing around.

Lovick also loved spending time visiting and making memories with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Lovick is survived by his nieces, Lena Royer Dupuis and Brenda Royer Green; and his great-niece, Diana Fontenot Dupuis.

Lovick was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Royer and Sedonia Blanchard; and his nephew-in-law, Joe Serrin.
