The family and friends of Mable Martin are mourning the loss of their grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who was called from this life on Dec. 21, 2022, at the beautiful age of 94.

Funeral Services to honor Mable’s life will be held at the Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings, LA on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 8:00 PM.

Visitation will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022, from 4-8 p.m.

The family are honoring her wishes of cremation following her services.

Mable was born May 12, 1928, in Jeff Davis Parish. Mable was a homemaker and nurse who dedicated her life to the care of her family which she adored.

Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mable was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Mable is survived by her three grandsons, Timothy “Tim” Fontenot (Holly) of New Orleans, Shannon Vidrine (Linda) of Maine and Robert Bergeaux (Trista) of Jennings and her two granddaughters, Nicole Vidrine and Ashley Vidrine, as well as numerous great-grandchildren.

Mable was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Wilfred “Benny” Martin and her children, Dale Vidrine and Glenda Faye Vidrine.
