Marcus Wayne St. Julien
When I entered into this world I knew you would be there for me. I thank God for you each and every day. God has called you home now. You have earned your crown. Rest In Heaven.
Luv, Daddy’s girl, Mar’kyree Marcus Wayne St. Julien, 38, of Jennings passed away peacefully on Thursday, Dec. 13, 2018, at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2018.
He was born Jan. 16, 1980, in Lafayette to Cecile Marie and Albert St. Julien Sr. He pursued a career in the oilfield industry. He worked faithfully for 10 years at R360 Environmental Solutions in Mermentau.
On Dec. 13, 2006, Marcus and Kendra D. Drake formed a blended family: Takaisha St. Julien, Monteca and Shonteca Drake, and from this union they were blessed with their daughter, Mar’kyree St. Julien. Marcus truly loved life, enjoyed spending time with friends and family, and had a deep love for basketball and fantasy football. His favorite teams were the New Orleans Pelicans and the New Orleans Saints. Marcus was passionate about serving God and witnessing to others. Marcus never met a stranger; he was always smiling, which was very contagious. Marcus also had a genuine concern for others and especially for his family. Even through his fight with brain cancer, Marcus was an encouragement to many with his faith and prayers that he extended to others. His presence will truly be missed, but he will forever remain in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife, Kendra St. Julien and their children, Shonteca and Monteca Drake of Jennings, Takaisha of Lafayette and Mar’kyree St. Julien of Jennings; two grandchildren, Kasen Grant and Kharleigh Williams of Jennings; his parents, Cecile and Albert St. Julien Sr. of Carencro; his siblings, Terrance St. Julien (Laura), Albert St. Julien Jr., Quinn St. Julien (Natalie), Michael St. Julien (Chelsea), Shawna St. Julien, and Derrick St. Julien, all of Carencro; his godchildren, Jaydon Lemelle, Alonnie St.Julien, Terrance St. Julien, Jr., and Z’myri Adams; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kelly Stevens, Scooter Britt, Isaac Ojukwu, Burk Mouton, Maceo Livings, John Paul Jones and Ravon Levi.
