Marie Ruby Faul Guidry
JENNINGS โ A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Marie Ruby Faul Guidry, 83, of Jennings will be held on Monday, Dec. 18, 2023, at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Trey Ange officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Garden of Angels with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating the committal. Arrangements are under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home of Jennings.
Visitation for Mrs. Ruby will begin on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, at Miguez Funeral Home at 4 p.m. and will close at 8 p.m. A rosary will be led by Deacon Mike Tramel at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. on Monday and conclude at 9:30 a.m. to leave for church.
Mrs. Ruby was born on Dec. 22, 1939, in Schuteston to Arvillien Faul and Rose Richard Faul. She was a high school graduate and lived in the Jennings area most of her life. She was the aid on the handicap bus. Mrs. Guidry enjoyed dancing and playing cards and was happiest surrounded by her family and holding a grandbaby. She was the founder of the Immaculate Conception Perpetual Adoration Chapel and faithfully prayed the Rosary.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Patrick Victor Guidry; daughters, Priscilla (Dennis) Bresnahan of Mobile, Ala., Theresa (David) Lipscomb of Bryan, Texas, Rosalyn (Paul) Racca of Jennings; two sons, Kirt (Debbie) Guidry of Orlando, Fla., and Dwayne (Darlene) Guidry of Jennings; one sister, Bella Trahan of Carencro; twenty-six grandchildren and thirty-two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Yola, Mary Lou and Mary Ellen, and four brothers, Clifford, Cleveland, Lee Roy, and Albert Faul.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to a charitable organization in her honor.
