Michael Wayne Cloud
Funeral services for Michael Wayne Cloud, 69, of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at 2 p.m., with Brother Paul Estes officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, from 10 a.m. until the time of his service at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery with full military rites.
Michael was born in Jennings on Dec. 15, 1950, to Joseph E. Cloud and Winona Prather Cloud. He was called from this earthly life by his Heavenly Father on Jan. 1, 2020. Michael was a derrick hand in the oilfield. He loved listening to music, playing his guitar and singing, and was an avid fan of football. His favorite teams were the New Orleans Saints and the LSU Tigers. Michael also loved his cats. Most of all, Michael loved spending time with his family. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Michael is survived by his two sons, Shawn LaCombe of Missouri and Skyler Cloud Gatte of Jennings; his four daughters, Michelle Cloud LaCombe of Jennings, Ashley Cloud of Jennings, Alicia (Travis) Dufrene of Jennings and Maranda Gatte of Jennings; his brother, David Cloud of Jennings; his niece and two nephews; as well as 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Winona Cloud; his granddaughter, Mia Lopez; and his grandson, Chevy Gauge Hoyt.
Carrying Michael to his final resting place will be Michelle LaCombe, Skyler Gatte, Scott Cloud, Corey Cloud, Courtney Prather, Terry Seal, Jason Bouley and Kristyn Carter Deshotel.
In lieu of flowers, Michael’s family is accepting donations to cover expenses incurred for his funeral.
