Nola Noelani Apo Melton

Mrs. Nola Noelani Apo Melton, 84, passed away peacefully in her residence on Sept. 27, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

The family is respecting her wishes with cremation under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Melton was born Oct. 18, 1936, on the Island of Maui, Hawaii. She was raised and lived there for nearly 25 years.

She then married the love of her life, James J. Melton, and moved to California, then eventually moved to Louisiana. She enjoyed playing bingo with her family and friends and often went fishing and crabbing, as well.

She is survived by her daughters, Collette (James) McKelroy and Colleen (Kyle Broussard) Melton, both of Jennings; sons, Arthur (Becky) Melton of Mermentau and Jeramey (Melinda) Melton of Lake Charles; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, James; son, John Melton; and one grandson, Lee Lantz, all of Jennings.
