Nora Franklin Gallier

Ms. Nora Franklin Gallier, 89, of Jennings passed away Aug. 10, 2021, peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services for Nora will be held today, Thursday, Aug. 12, 2021, at 6:15 p.m., with Deacon Mike Tramel officiating.

Visitation will be held in Miguez Funeral Home chapel from 3 p.m. until the time of service. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.

The family is respecting Ms. Nora’s wishes with a cremation to follow the service. Cremation will be under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Nora was born Jan. 25, 1932, in Jennings to the late Richard Franklin and Helen Lopez.

She was a lifelong resident of Jennings. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved to work in her garden by planting flowers, canning goods and enjoying time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Emily Chaisson of Jennings, Alice Gallier of Lake Arthur and Rose Hebert of Jennings; sons, Joey and Willis Gallier, both of Jennings; and one sister, Joycia LeJeune of Orange, Texas. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willis Gallier, Sr.; her son in law, Arnold Chaisson; and her parents.
