Patricia Abshire Vincent

LAKE ARTHUR — A Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Patricia Abshire Vincent, 86, of Lake Arthur will be held at 1:30 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, in Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.

Visitation for Mrs. Vincent will be held today, Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. to leave for church. A rosary will be recited at 12:30 p.m.

Burial will follow in St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vincent was born Oct. 8, 1936, in Gueydan to Austin and Mary Sonnier Abshire. She was a high school graduate. She loved to crochet and knit. She also enjoyed beading, macrame and ceramics.

She worked very hard as a wife and mother and enjoyed taking care of her family.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, Floyd Vincent; daughter Tina (Jude) Leger of Round Rock, Texas; son Francis Michael Vincent of Lake Arthur; brother Bobby Abshire of Lake Charles; four grandchildren, Amber Posluszny, Garrett Leger, Caleb Leger and Seth Leger and one great-granddaughter, Paisley Posluszny.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Brenda Myers and three brothers, Austin “Sonny” Abshire, Logan Abshire and Carl Abshire.
