Percy Lander Duhon
LAKE ARTHUR โ Funeral services for Mr. Percy Lander Duhon, 86, of Lake Arthur will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 30, 2022, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, with Rev. Roland Vaughn officiating.
Visitation for Mr. Duhon will begin today, Friday, July 29, 2022, in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel from 4-8 p.m. A Cursillo Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until time to leave for services.
Burial will follow at St. Anthony Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Mr. Duhon was born Sept. 14, 1935, in Creole to Jim and Eunice Broussard Duhon.
He spent most of his life in Creole and then Lake Arthur. He served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam, where he earned the Bronze Star and made the Army his career. He was a member of the color guard. He was very patriotic and loved his country dearly.
He enjoyed camping, barbecuing and dancing to French music. He loved his family above all else and treasured each one.
Those left to cherish his memories are his beloved wife, Willa Mae Broussard Duhon of Lake Arthur; daughters Rhonda (Tony) Duhon of Creole, Jana (Ray) Hay of Lake Arthur and Victoria (Tim) Cross of Springfield, Va.; sons Bennett (Darnell) Duhon of Lake Arthur and Bruce (Shelley) Duhon of Lake Charles; 18 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; five great great-grandchildren and his beloved dog, Bijou.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
