Polly Thibodeaux Hodges

Funeral services for Polly Thibodeaux Hodges, 89, of Metairie will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, located at 707 Orange St. in Mermentau, with Fr. Andrew Schumacher officiating.

Interment will be in Duhon Cemetery in Mermentau under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Mrs. Hodges passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2021, in Mandeville.

Polly was born Aug. 22, 1932, to Arthur and Eleanor Duhon Thibodeaux.

She married John H. Hodges on Nov. 20, 1955, in Mermentau.

She retired from the Jefferson Parish Department of Drainage.

Survivors include her husband, John H. Hodges; her children, Carol Cox (Butch) of Mandeville, Michael Hodges (Sandra) of Alexandria and Matthew Hodges (Beth); her siblings, Jeanne Distefano (John) of Alexandria, Kate Bangle (Raymond) of Mermentau and Robert Thibodeaux (Brenda) of Mermentau; three grandchildren, Jeremy, Sarah and Garrett; and three great-grandchildren, Charlie, Grace and James.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Gerald and J.C. Thibodeaux; a sister, Dolly Soileau (Rudy); and a grandson, Benjamin Cox.
