Robert Soileau

A memorial service for Robert Soileau, 80, will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, 2021, at Grace Community Baptist Church, located at 212 Mamou Prairie Road in Iota.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 2 p.m. until time of service and will continue following his service.

Mr. Soileau passed away at 11:22 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Mary Soileau; two sons, Danny Soileau and wife Patty and Terry Soileau and wife Sheila; two daughters, Debra Alateiste and husband Alberto and Rachel Carlin and husband Randal; stepchildren, Becky B. Reed and husband Greg and Gwen Berzas and partner Pamela Bruney; five brothers, Harry Soileau, Gustave Soileau III, Farrel Soileau, Odea Joseph Soileau and John Soileau; a son-in-law, Curtis Dyke; six sisters, Shirley Soileau, Mary Soileau, Delorise Soileau, Debbie Soileau, Linda Soileau and Diane Soileau; 14 grandchildren, Tessa Frederick, Justin Maris, Michael Maris, Heather Fisher, April Carlin, Charles Carlin, Brianna Nevils, Terry Soileau II, Addison Dartez, Mariz Soileau, Alcee Soileau, Joshua Soileau, Haley Dyke and Madison Dyke; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gustave and Lazina Soileau; a daughter, Lovonia Dyke; a brother, Lee Soileau; and two sisters, Florence Soileau and Thirteena Soileau.
