Sandra Broussard

LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for Mrs. Sandra Broussard, 72, will be held today, Thursday, Dec. 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Miguez Funeral Home in Lake Arthur, with Rev. Lloyd Whitman officiating.

Visitation will begin today, Thursday, Dec. 27, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery.

Mrs. Broussard was a longtime resident of Lake Arthur. She moved to Lafayette two years ago. She graduated from Oakdale High School in 1964 and continued her education at Northwestern State University where she earned her BA in Education. Mrs. Broussard was a very active church member throughout her life. She played the piano and was very involved in Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed being a member of the Bridge and Bingo Club at Gardenview Assisted Living Home, where she also taught Bible Study.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 48 years, Larry James Broussard; two daughters and sonsin-law, Kalanie Broussard Breaux and husband Mark of Lake Arthur and Moriah Broussard Dugar and husband Eric of Youngsville; one brother and sister-in-law, Luther Reed Duett and wife Dora of Eagle, Colo.; one grandson, Eli Dugar; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Kathryn Gates Duett.
