Terry Dean Broussard

JENNINGS — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Terry Dean Broussard, born on March 31, 1943 in Jennings. She passed away on August 6, 2024 surrounded by her loving family in Jennings.

Terry will be remembered by her beloved husband of 65 years Tom Broussard and her devoted daughters Kathy (Darryl) Bertrand, Kim Precht and Julie (Percy) Lougon. She is also survived by her brother Ron (Jean) Istre. Terry leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will be greatly missed.

She will also be remembered by her grandchildren Keri, Scott, Robin, Daniel, Michael, Erin, Matthew, Jessica, Carrie, Kelsey and Emily, as well as twenty great-grandchildren, with another on the way. Terry’s memory will live on through her loving family.

She had a love for dancing with her husband Tom on Saturday nights. She also enjoyed fishing and spending time with her family. She retired from Wal Mart as a Customer Service Manager. After retirement she went on to help her husband in his business.

Terry’s life will be celebrated on August 10, 2024, with a Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church at 1 p.m.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation at Miguez Funeral Home on August 9, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. with a Rosary starting at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Terry’s final resting place will be at Calvary Cemetery in Jennings where she will be laid to rest on August 10, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.

Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Terry Istre and Nola Baker Istre, daughter Lisa Avila and her son-inlaw Tom Precht.
