Vernice Prather

Funeral services for Miss Vernice Prather will be held at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Roy Platt officiating.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and continue until time of service at 2 p.m.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

Miss Prather died at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2021, in a local care facility.

Miss Prather worked as a telephone operator for many years. She was a faithful member of Jennings Church of Christ, where she served as a Sunday school teacher.

She is survived by her two sisters, Ethel Prather Gunnells and Aline Prather; brother, Harry Prather; and many, many nieces and nephews.
