Wayne Isaac Marcantel
Funeral services for Mr. Wayne Isaac Marcantel, 74, lifelong resident of Elton, will be held at 10 a.m. today, Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. John Nichols officiating.
Visitation for Mr. Marcantel was held from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021, and will resume today, Wednesday, from 8 a.m. and until the 10 a.m. service.
Burial will be in Southwest Louisiana Veteran’s Cemetery.
Mr. Marcantel was born in Jennings on Dec. 23, 1946, to parents, Isaac Leroy and Bertha Marie Bruchhaus Marcantel.
He passed away peacefully on Aug. 26, 2021, in Houston, Texas.
After his high school graduation from Elton High School in 1964, Mr. Marcantel served his country honorably in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He came home and began his life as a farmer.
Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Lettie Kenvyn Marcantel of Elton; daughters, Lisa Marcantel (Getano) Clement, Kristine Marcantel (Scooter) Dronet, Rebecca Jo Marcantel (Yody) Aucoin, Katy Marcantel (Jordan) Shirley, Kim (Kenny) Thibodeaux and Amanda Carrier; son, Jeremy “J.J.” (Leigh-Anne) Fuselier; very special nephew Christopher “Topher” Linscomb; sister, Virginia “Tillie” Linscomb; brother, Robert “Bob” (Cathy) Marcantel; 22 grandchildren; and eight greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren, Keagan Regan and Noelle Fuselier.
