Winona Carrie Cloud

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family Winona Carrie Cloud announces her passing from this life on Oct. 20, 2019, at the age of 86.

Funeral services for Winona Carrie Cloud, 86, of Jennings will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at 11 a.m., with Brother Paul Estes officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at the funeral home Friday, Oct. 25, from 9 a.m. until the time of her service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Winona was born in Jennings to Joseph and Ella Cotton Prather on Feb. 2, 1933.

Winona loved to read, crochet, football and watching TV. Most of all she loved spending time with all of her family. She was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Winona is survived by her two sons, Michael Wayne Cloud and David Brian Cloud, both of Jennings; her brother, Jessie Prather (Verna) of Abbeville; her eight grandchildren, Brian Scott Cloud (Tobey), Vicki Lynn Seal (Terry), Ashley Cloud, Corey James Cloud, Shawn LaComb, Michelle LaComb, Skylar Gatte and Maranda Gatte; and her six great-grandchildren, Christian Seal, Reece Miller, Collin Cloud, Landon Cloud, Samuel Cloud and Shelby Seal.

Winona was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe Elridge Cloud; and her sister, Rose Jane Moore.
