A Mass of Christian burial for Olive Mott Myers of Jennings will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings on Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at 1 p.m., with Father Charles McMillin officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, from 3-7 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday, Sept. 25, from 9 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Mass. Olive will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery following her services. Olive was born in Gueydan on March 10, 1936, to Despalier and Irma Duhon Mott. She loved to cook for her family and friends. She also loved to visit with all her family and friends. Olive is survived by her sister, Edith Mott of Roanoke; as well as numerous extend family and friends. Olive now rejoices in heaven with her parents, Despalier Mott and Irma Duhon Mott; her beloved husband, Gilbert Myers; her brothers, Dalton Mott, Norris Mott, A.J.
