Paul Larry Landry
ELTON – Paul Larry Landry passed away July 17, 2021.
A graveside service will be held Friday, July 23, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Paul Cemetery in Elton, with Deacon Mike Guillory officiating.
Paul married the love of his life, Mrs. Desdemona “Des” Deshotel Landry, on Feb. 22, 1964. Together they shared 54 years of marriage. Paul was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and greatgrandfather.
Born to parents Preston and Trunie Landry, Paul was a native of Elton and a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Elton. He was a Vietnam Navy veteran and proud of his service. He was a proud past post national commander for the 40 and 8 from 1992-1993. Paul was a member of the American Society of Safety Engineering and served on the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors.
Mr. Landry was preceded in death by his wife, Desdemona “Des” Deshotel Landry; two children, Velinda Gale Fruge and Kenneth Craig Landry, Sr.: and two granddaughters, Miranda Nicole Richer and Paige Fruge.
Survivors left to cherish his memory are two children, Ricky Dale Landry and wife Patricia of Port Allen, and Vicky Landry Richer and husband John of Elton; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
