Thomas Delbert Beazer
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church for Thomas Delbert Beazer, 69, of Jennings on Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at 2 p.m., with Father Charles McMillin officiating.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings beginning today, Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2018, from 3-8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. The family requests that visitation resume on Wednesday, Sept. 12, from 8 a.m. until the time of his funeral Mass at 2 p.m.
Thomas was born in Natchitoches on July 3, 1949, to Sam Stuteville Beazer and Eva Theresa LaFleur Beazer. He was called from this life on Sept. 9, 2018. Thomas served our country honorably in the United States Army. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing and sitting on the porch visiting with family and friends. Thomas also enjoyed cooking. He cooked for Don’s Seafood in Baton Rouge for a number of years and also worked as a mechanic, a job he enjoyed. Thomas was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Thomas leaves behind to cherish his memories his son, Jeremy Beazer of Jennings; his daughter, Heather Potier (Tyler) of Jennings; his two brothers, Joseph Beazer (Anita) of Watson and John Beazer (Nancy) of Jennings; his two sisters, Bridgid Dianne Beazer Glaeser of Jennings and Kay Nunez (Chuck) of Colmesneil, Texas; and his three grandchildren, Bethany Beazer, Rileigh Potier and Lincoln Potier.
Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Theresa Beazer; his beloved wife, Katherine T. Beazer; and his brother, Peter Beazer.
Carrying Thomas to his final resting place in Gueydan Cemetery will be Jeremy Beazer, John Beazer, Gavin Beazer, Tyler Potier, Chuck Nunez and Brandon Trahan.
