Sherry Guillotte Ardoin
A Mass of Christian burial for Sherry Guillotte Ardoin, 75, of Jennings was held at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church on Monday, Dec. 2, 2019 at 11 a.m.
A gathering of family and friends was held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2019, from 3-8 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation resumed Monday from 8 a.m. until the time of her funeral mass.
Sherry was laid to rest in Bertrand Cemetery.
Sherry was born in Jennings on Oct. 2, 1944, to Claude Guillotte, Sr., and Leoma Crochet Guillotte. She was called to her Heavenly Father on Nov. 28, 2019, while surrounded by her loving family.
She worked as a beautician until retiring. Sherry was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose greatest pleasure came from her love for her family. She loved to watch TV and talk on the phone. Sherry was a kind and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sherry leaves behind to cherish her memories her beloved husband, Harold Ardoin of Jennings; her son, Kirk William Ardoin (Kaye) of Panchoville; her daughter, Paula Ardoin Broussard of Jennings; her brother, Chuck Guillotte of Houston, Texas; her sister, Shelia Broussard of New Mexico; her four grandchildren, Stephen Lafosse, Jr., Melanie Gray, Blake Broussard and Kristian Duplechain; and her 10 great-grandchildren.
Sherry now rejoices in Heaven with her parents, Claude and Leoma Guillotte, Sr.
Those chosen to honor Sherry by carrying her to her final resting place were Stephen Lafosse, Jr., Blaze Lafosse, Blake Broussard, Nick Gray, David Ardoin and Todd Ardoin.
Honorary pallbearers were Clark Gray and Timothy Duplechain.
