She was a native of Puchov, Slovakia, and a resident of Jennings for 29 years. Olga earned degrees in Slovak and French linguistics from Komenskeho University (Filozoficka Faculta) in Bratislava Slovakia, dedicated her life to education and retired as a schoolteacher. Her love of language and culture made her into an avid reader. Yet she also maintained a deep connection with the natural world, mostly hiking in the mountains, spending time by the sea or gardening. Her dear friends that so blessed her life, David, Simone Marcantel and family, will also remember her as a talented baker. She so loved and was beloved by her children, grandchildren and held a special place in her heart for her sister-in-law, Terka.
Survivors include three children born in Slovakia, one daughter, Katarina Dolejsiova; two sons, Matthew (wife, Ashley) Dolejsi of Baton Rouge and Juraj Dolejsi of Bratislava, Slovakia; and three grandchildren, Marek, Gavin and Rhett Dolejsi.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jozef Zboran (1920-1962) and Maria Holikova Zboranova (1923-1972); her sisters, Lidia Zboranova (1943-1962) and Dana Holubova Zboranova (1950-1985); one brother, Vladimir Zboran (1952-1998); and her husband, Jozef Dolejsi (1950-2019). All were born in Puchov, Slovakia.
The family would like to thank Marian, who was an angel by her side.
