Destiny Jade Montgomery

LAKE ARTHUR - Funeral services for Miss Destiny Jade Montgomery, 16, of Lake Arthur will be held at 11:30 a.m. today, Sunday, Feb. 23, 2020, in Miguez Funeral Home Chapel in Lake Arthur, with Rev. Jay Alexius officiating.

Visitation will begin Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, from 10:30 a.m. until 9 p.m., with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume Sunday morning from 8 a.m. until the time of service.

Burial will follow in Andrus Cove Cemetery.

Destiny loved nursery rhymes with music. She was known and loved for her infectious smile and laugh. Destiny brought great joy to all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Alan Montgomery; and a beloved aunt, Jill Wallace.

Those left to cherish the memory of Destiny are her parents, Christopher and Joy Wallace Montgomery; her maternal grandparents, Ricky and Vikki Wallace of Lake Arthur; paternal grandmother, Candace (Robert) Hilliard of Whitehouse, Texas; two aunts, Racely Wallace and Gina Jerkins; and two cousins, Kadence and Holland.

The family would like to especially thank Destiny’s caregivers, Windy Hebert, Evette Fontenot and Phyliss Reed, whose love and affection for Destiny was always apparent, as well as Complete Home Health.
