Anna Mae Prejean

It’s with great sadness and heavy hearts that the family of Anna Mae Prejean announces her passing from this life on Dec. 31, 2020, at the age of 93.

Funeral services for Anna Mae Prejean, 93, of Jennings will be held at Church of Christ in Jennings on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, at 1 p.m.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Matthews and Son Funeral Home in Jennings Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021, from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Burial will follow in Roberts Cove Cemetery.

Anna was born in Jennings to John Simon and Adele Landry Simon on Nov. 23, 1927.

Anna was a homemaker who dedicated her life to the care of her family. She loved cooking and doing things around the house, as well as being a faithful member of Church of Christ. Anna’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, telling them stories. She was a kind and loving person and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Anna is survived by her three grandchildren, Kristy

Anna is survived by her three grandchildren, Kristy Fontenot (Marty) of Hathaway, Shana Prejean (Zane Romero) of Hathaway and Mia Hulin (Shane) of Hathaway; her six great grandchildren, Jance Prejean, Alyssa Fontenot, Camren Daniel, Tatum Hulin, Talon Hulin and Tobi Hulin; and her daughter-in-law, Ella Prejean of Jennings.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, John and Adele Landry Simon; her beloved husband, Ceveron Prejean; her three sons, Tommy Lee Prejean, Kenneth Wayne and Carroll James Prejean; her daughter, Shari Denise Rardin; and her sister, Lillian Lopez.
